Art is something that we consider to be a gift to
everyday life. But as Walter Benjamin says, “ In principle a work of art has
always been reproducible.” When you read something like that, it hits home.
There are so many things we take for granted in everyday life. It’s only until
something terrible or life altering happens that we truly take notice to the
little things. But because of things like this “I am now so thankful for allthe hard work that others do.”
With the recent events in the northern part of the country sometimes we
have to stop in reflect. Where I come from storms like that can happen several
times of year. Even though it is something we are used to it doesn’t make it
any easier to hear how people have lost their home or are without power. I recently
heard that some people may go over a month without power in the winter and I
truly hope that’s not the case for those families. So for this post today I just
want everyone to reflect on the little things and think of all the time and
effort that some people to make sure we are safe. We shouldn’t wait till
something goes wrong, we should take notice all the time.
